San Diego lies in a sea flames. Engulfed in a cloud of smoke and forcing people to leave the life they know behind only to come to the realization that when they come back after evacuation, the fire has burned down the place they call their home.

Volunteers help those survivors in shelters and evacuation centers by donating food, clothing, and their time to assist these survivors in coping with this ordeal.

I'm thankful that the fires have not reached us. It makes me realize how thankful I am that I haven't lost what means most to me, especially my family.

Thank you to those who called, commented, and stopped by to check up on me, my family, and my friends. Just knowing that I'm in your thoughts let's me know what true friendship is all about.

San Diego lies in a sea of flames. I hope by the end of the week, this shit will be all over with and that we can all pick up where we left off...no matter how difficult it may be.

I'm just glad that those who chose to evacuate made it out before the fires got to them.

In the end...that's all that matters.

warped tour with oreskaband!

so warped tour was the shit! thanks to steve febre for the ride and for buying the tickets online. i introduced him to ORESKABAND (another one) and he's fucking into them now. HOTT DAMN! haha, so...after watching all the bands i wanted (except for Oreskaband cause they were the last band to play) i decided to head on to the Oreskaband tent and asked if they needed help spreading the word...and sure they did. so i put on a "Oreskaband" sign and walked around and passed out flyers.

the fucking show was amazing! just fucking awesome. =D i got their autographed cd and even got a picture with them!

plus! they even made me in charge of the San Diego Oreskaband Street Team...how fucking awesome is that! =D

i just watched the whole full metal alchemist anime series and...its was freakin nuts. hate to say it, but right now because bleach is going through some ugly ass filler episodes, FullMetal is the shit. i dont know why it took me so long to get into the anime. just waiting to get the movie from my friend.

so much fuckin philosophy is goin on in that anime...like the whole equivalent exchange thing...how we cant always expect something in return when we do something or maybe we do get something, but we just don't realize it. also, the "all is one, one is all" theory.

i dont know.

right now im collecing materials for my costume for next year's anime-expo. im going as full metal alphonse. =) ho yes.

yesterday i hit up legoland and the beach. it was alright. i met up with kat and jaz at the beach along with karl, and it was pretty fun. we're not myspace friends anymore, haha...that sounded freakin lame though. but im glad i met them. =D

tomorrow im hitting up the beach and 5 days later it's my bday. =D wish i could spend it back on guam, but i cant.

to obtain...something of equal or greater value must be lost...and i still trying to figure out the price to pay just so i could feel the comfort of home once again.

Comic-Con's done and it was pretty alright. I still prefer Anime-Expo. =D

After this, I'll have to do some gaming journalism up at Wii Land to update on Gaming shit. honestly, journalism is fun. you get to talk to all these fun people that have the same intertests as you and you get inspired and motivated to become something better. =D

First Day of Comic-Con!

Freakin exhausting as hell. Well, I'm gonna spill out the news and shit right here. For vampire fans out there, a new comic-to-movie film is coming out called "30 Days of Night" is going to be released in a few months. It's about a band of vampires that go all out in a town in Alaska where the sun doesn't rise for a month (hence the name, "30 Days of Night"). There's a new "Iron Man" live action movie being produced right now and is directed by Jon Favreau starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man himself and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. Also, a WHOLE NEW "HULK" movie is being produced as well. IT WILL NOT CONTINUE OFF WHERE THE LAST ONE ENDED! It's a whole new fucking plot and story...and this time...they've got Edward Norton playing Bruce Banner aka THE INCREDIBLE HULK.

As for anime-to-movies, the latest one I've discovered is "SPEED RACER!" if you click on the link at the bottom, it will take you to my photo album up on myspace and you can check out the pics there. I hope this was a good enough update.

Shit! I almost forgot, A SHITLOAD of FREE STUFF is being given away at the fucking Con. So if you live in southern Cali, come to San Diego and enjoy the Comic-Con!

Her blogs get me all the time. Like i can always relate to what she says. Her words inspire me to a point where...I just wanna do things the way I want to. It's funny how...her blogs always reflect what I feel that week or day.

Tim and I have been working on a split demo. I don't even feel like promoting our bands anymore, cause I feel so exhausted and stressed..not to mention it costs money. And I even felt like I was not doing it for the passion anymore. That's why I needed some time off from writing and making music to get my passion back...and I did. It took my friend Drew to bring me back to my passion for making music. I didn't know what came over me.

But I still want to pass out some demos cause I want people to listen to my/our music. I want them to know how fun we have doing it and show them that it's our outlet for letting things out. We want people to hear our split demo and say "These guys are having fun! These guys know how to rock!" or "Wow, this is a different sound. It's good." I don't think music should be taken seriously to the point where it becomes a job. It's about having fun and doing it for the love and passion of it all...not to become famous or get money. If it does...you become a sellout.

And i think passing out these demos feels right. Despite the fact that we won't be able to do shows, I wouldn't mind getting some exposure to show people how fun making music can be and they too can make music. We can say stuff in our music that we can't say straight out.

I don't think I can take a record deal if Tim's not here. It'll always be friends and music first before that.

Music is love. Music is life. Music is passion. It is my passion. And I just wish I could show people that music is more than just about melodies and lyrics. It's everything we make it to be.

So far we're getting good feedback on the manga in writing. people tell me i'm leaving them off the hook with the synopsis. haha, sorry guys! i gotta pace the speed of the manga! even though i'm almost done with vol.1, i want to take my time so other people can get into it too!

Alright, here's a few things I'm working on right now as I'm trying to get somewhere.

1) i'm writing a manga and a friend of mine who works for DC comics (publishers of Superman, Batman) is going to draw it. I'm going to make a deviantart account as soon as I finish the story and my friend finishes the art (thanks for the idea Jean). We are going to publish it on our own and we are going to push it until we get sponsored (hopefully by CMX manga because my friend has hook-ups there).

Also, I need professional-like readers (either manga or whatever will be fine, but manga/anime readers are highly recommended seeing that im writing a manga). Annette, Jean...if you're reading this, you're the two main readers I would like to read my stuff and I'd appreciate your help. =D I'm gonna make a LJ soon posting up what I have so far for the story. I have about 3 chapters done. The first volume will have 5 chapters. Wish us luck. =DD

2) I'm going to promote my solo project "Victory0verNothing" and my side project "Hello Matoto" at Comic-con. I'm going to make about 20 free demos on the first day and pass them all out. Hopefully by the next three days things will catch up and more people will here about us. I might just zone in on asians or people who bring their guitars to the con and those who watch these musicians play.
